The University of Oklahoma quickly became a second home for me. Norman is a wonderful college town with many different food and entertainment options. While attending the University of Oklahoma, I thoroughly enjoyed each of my academic courses and each professor I had was passionate about the topics they were teaching. The University of Oklahoma offers many resources to its students that ultimately help them succeed throughout their time at the university. I would not trade my college experience at the University of Oklahoma for anything! OU is a prestigious university that anyone would be lucky to call their alma mater.

At the University of Oklahoma, I have a feeling of belonging. The professors within the College of International Studies and the advisors routinely go the extra mile to make their students feel confident, intelligent, and know their own potential. All of my professors have been understanding and kind when I've had to bring my children with me to class. When my son got hurt last year and had to go to the hospital, my professor didn't shame me for missing class and even emailed me lecture notes so I wouldn't fall behind along with a very sweet message to my son about getting back up from a fall, etc. I love my university!

Socially, OU is heavy-centered on greek life in terms of student involvement. That doesn't mean you can't find your place in it elsewhere! There are endless opportunities to join clubs, play intramural sports and try out for teams, and get involved in major-related opportunities. The professors are experienced and several of the departments are considered some of the strongest regionally. Living both on and off campus is convenient, however finding parking has been a complaint of students over the years. There are so many options for on-campus food your first year but very limited healthy food options, so you may find yourself eating the same thing if you're looking for healthy alternatives (there aren't that many on campus). Norman is a lovely town that has just about everything you need + OKC is a short 20 min drive away. Bar life is my favorite part about campus, 'Campus Corner' is right next door and a super great place to socialize on the weekends. I would rate my experience 4.5/5
