While the HoYoverse RPG offers plenty of characters for players to pick up through the game's gacha banners, a select few characters are given to players as a free reward early in the game. Both March 7th and Dan Heng are gifted to players during the progression of the main story, while Herta is given to players for unlocking the Simulated Universe. A recent video shared by prominent HoYoverse leaker Ubatcha shows off an early scrapped version of Herta as a Fire element character. The video uses Pela as a placeholder model for the scrapped Herta and details her kit, with Herta using "Pyrospirits" as a unique stacking mechanic to increase her Crit Rate and advance her Actions in Honkai: Star Rail. The test Herta's Skill dealt AoE Fire damage, while also releasing all of her Pyrospirits to deal additional damage to a single target. The scrapped version of Herta's Ultimate similarly dealt AoE Fire damage, while increasing the damage from her Pyrospirits.
The scrapped Fire Herta shows a marked difference from Herta's full release with Honkai: Star Rail's launch. The original Herta may have used a different weapon than the hammer utilized by Herta in the final version, given the test's use of Pela as a placeholder. Herta's early version also does not boast her trademark Honkai: Star Rail follow-up attacks, instead utilizing the stacking Pyrospirits to deal increased damage.
