The Kershaw Shallot is the newest addition to the Ken Onion designed line of assisted open knives.  This one is fitted with a fine Sandvik 13C26 stainless steel, 3 1/2", recurve blade.  The Shallot combines the fast action opening of the Speed Assist Open system with a thin profile. 

The Kershaw Shallot 1840 is 4 3/8" closed, and keeps the very best design features of the Chive-Leek-Scallion series.  The 410 stainless steel handle incorporates a positive framelock to prevent accidential closeing of the razor sharp blade during use.  The rear handle has a reversible/removeable stainless steel pocket clip providing the carrier with tip-up or tip-down carry options.  There is also a lanyard hole provided.
