The CR 6783KC was designed by Bob Kasper and Pat Crawford to be the ultimate tactical folder.  They made the blade with tough, durable, AUS 6M Stainless Steel and coated it with non-reflective teflon plating.  The blade locks open with a big solid linerlock and then the user has the option of engaging the L.ake A.nd W.alker K.nife S.afety which actually turns this serious piece into a fixed blade knife, able to withstand even the most intense side pressure without closing.  The thick stock stainless steel clip blade is part serrated and is designed to combine strength and  have tremendous penetrating power.

All the zip, oh wow, and features of Kit Carson's Big Dog M16s in a Compact Every Day Carry. After the incredible success of Kit Carson's original aluminum M16 Series, CRKT began to get comments like this, "I love my M16 Big Dog, but I wish I had a bit more compact size that I could carry every day, both on the job and at leisure." These requests reached the point that Columbia River could not ignore them, so here they are: the M16 Compact EDC (Every Day Carry). While they were at the task of scaling down and refining the designs, they decided to offer models with both black and British racing green handles, and with non-reflective black titanium nitride coated blades. The contoured handles are long enough for real work tasks. They are still 6061 T6 hard anodized aluminum, CNC machined with a perimeter radius for comfort. A stainless steel locking liner with friction grooves gives positive locking. They also incorporated the patented Lake And Walker Knife Safety (LAWKS) into all compact M16 models, which converts them into virtual fixed blades when engaged. As in the larger models, premium AUS-8 stainless steel was chosen for blade steel, for its edge retention and durability. Both Razor-Sharp or Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated edges are available.

All models feature the "Carson Flipper" extension to the blade, which aids opening and acts as an additional blade guard. The CL-M1600 and CL-M1610 feature Tanto-style blades with dual hollow grinds. They offer maximum strength in a blade of this size. The CL-M1601 and CL-M1611 have spear point blades with a false edge on the spine. It is a versatile ulitity blade for a variety of jobs. One-hand opening and closing is as velvet smooth as the larger M16s, the result of Teflon® bearings at the blade pivot. The Kommer Signature Hunters from CRKT are simple classic fixed stainless steel blades with a high hollow ground and mirror polished to minimize staining and corrosion and to give less resistance while skinning. Each blade has friction grooves on the spine and its deep finger choil, for grip and control under the slipperiest conditions. Exotic wood scales feature a unique diagonal split, which also provides additional finger gripping edges.

The Kommer designed Kuskokwin Signature Skinner comes with a fitted brown leather belt sheath and attached leather lanyard.  It will soon be one of your favorites.  Featuring a 3 3/8" stainless steel, skinner blade with gut hook.  The full tang construction and friction grooves top and bottom make this a rock solid hunter providing a sure grip under all conditions.

The mirror polished finish on the blade and dark stained exotic wood scales give the Kuskokwin Skinner a most impressive look too.
