FOX QUALITY KNIVES

We are a small knife dealer located in Muskegon, Michigan near Wolf Lake.  After 32 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections I retired in 2006.  Being an avid Hunter and Fisherman I was also always interested in knives and about 10 years ago began to organized the knives I had and purchase a few more.  I had picked up a few "Shanks" while working the cell block over the years but the knives I enjoyed owning were of much higher quality and made to do a lot more than just stab. 

About 2 years later my wife finally had enough and demanded that I start getting rid of some of the pieces I had on hand.  So, wanting to obey by wife I started to sell off a few here and there.  Some trades came about too and also requests for knives I did not have on hand.  Soon I had more than tripled the number of knives and knife accessories we had around.  I knew right then it was time to get serious about selling some knives and 8 years later I am still trying.  Maybe someday I will actually end up with a smaller stock but right now we are expanding with as many new knives as possible.

Almost every dealer I have encountered has a story very much like mine.  I soon learned that dealers all pretty much started out as collectors and things just got out of hand.  Colllecting knives can be interesting, educational and a great way to make new friends in your search for the Perfect Knife.  But be careful.  Collecting knives is sometimes known as a "Sickness". 

On line sources for buying vintage, or new knives is just the tip of the ice burg when it comes to places to look for knives.  Knife Shows abound across the country.  Gun shows always have a few tables staffed by Knife Guys.  W.R. Case and Son's has a Case Collectors Club one can join as does Buck Knives Inc.  Practically every state in the USA has a National Knife Collectors Association Chapter.  There are just countless ways for one to expand their interest in this field.
